Corrections Policy

Email abhishekkushwaha316@gmail.com with the post URL and what is wrong. A source for the correct figure helps but is not required — pointing out that something looks off is enough.

• Factual errors— a wrong number, a misattributed quote, a misread filing — are corrected in place, and a dated note at the foot of the post records what was changed and when. The original error is described, not quietly overwritten.
• Figures that were right and have since moved are updated with the new value and the date it was updated. This is an update, not a correction, and is labelled that way.
• Typos and broken links are fixed without a note.
• Errors serious enough to change a post’s conclusion get a note at the top of the post, not the foot.

If a post’s central claim turns out to be wrong and cannot be repaired by correcting a figure, the post is retracted. A retracted post keeps its URL and is replaced with a note explaining what was wrong and why it was withdrawn, so that anyone who linked to it or read it can find out. Retracted posts are not silently deleted.

Posts removed for being off-topic rather than wrong are a different case: those are deleted and their URLs return 410 Gone.
